What ages do you work with?
We serve ages 10 through 15 in the home school program. Athletes and non-athletes are welcome. We’ll place your child in the right group based on age, size, maturity, and movement skill.
Is this safe for beginners?
Yes. This program is coach-led and built around safe progressions. We focus on movement quality first (how to squat, hinge, push, pull, brace, land, and change direction) before adding challenge.
Does my child need to already be “in shape” or athletic?
No. This is designed for kids who need a structured, positive way to be active during the day—whether they’re playing a sport, getting back into activity, or just need consistency and confidence.
What does a typical class look like?
Most classes follow a simple flow:
Warm-up + movement prep
Skill focus (running mechanics, jumping/landing, basic strength patterns, coordination)
Strength + conditioning (age-appropriate)
Game / team challenge (fun, effort, and sportsmanship)
Cool down + quick win recap
Will you teach strength training (weights)?
Yes—when appropriate. We use age-appropriate strength training: bodyweight, light implements, med balls, bands, confirmed technique, and then progressive loading for older students. We’re not “maxing out.” We’re building foundations.
How do you group students?
We group by a combination of:
Age / grade band
Size and maturity
Movement skill level
Training experience
This keeps sessions safe and helps every student feel successful.
Is this a sports performance program or general PE?
It’s PE with performance coaching—meaning every student learns better movement skills and builds real strength and coordination. If your child is an athlete, it supports their sport. If they’re not, it builds the foundations they’ll use for life.
Will this help with speed, agility, and coordination?
Yes. We train the basics that drive athleticism:
Running form
Acceleration mechanics
Jumping + landing
Balance + coordination
Deceleration + change of direction
Speed work is taught like a skill—not just “run until you’re tired.”
How many days per week should my child attend?
A good starting point is 2 days/week for general fitness and consistency.
3 days/week is ideal for faster progress and routine (especially for older students or athletes).
Can my child participate if they have past injuries or is in physical therapy?
Usually, yes—but we’ll want context. If your child is currently in PT or has limitations, let us know so we can modify appropriately. If needed, we can coordinate with your PT.
What should my child bring?
Athletic clothes + shoes
Water bottle
A good attitude 🙂
We provide the equipment.
Do parents stay and watch?
You’re welcome to stay for the first session or two. After that, most parents drop off and return at pickup. If you want to watch occasionally, that’s fine—we just ask that coaching stays with the coaches so students stay focused.
How do you track progress?
Progress is tracked through:
Coach observation of movement quality and confidence
Attendance consistency
Age-appropriate benchmarks (as needed)
There are no VALD or InBody assessments associated with the home school program.
What home schools are you a vendor for?
If you do not see us on your home school approved vendor list, please contact your Administration Office. A parent must initiate the vendor approval process. We would be delighted to offer our version of PE class to as many home schooled children in the community as possible.
